It was broadcasted this morning (30 October 2003) on WBOS 92.9 in Boston that Bruce's management has confirmed that he and the band will return to the studio after the holidays. He has already written 25 songs, but there is no word on whether this will be a double album, who will be producing this one, or when they're targeting release.
This is what was read over the air this morning:
A spokesperson for Bruce Springsteen has confirmed rumors that he and the E Street Band will head back into the studio after the holidays. Springsteen has reportedly written 25 songs for the project so far. There's no word whether he'll work again with The Rising producer Brendan O'Brien, who was the first person outside of Springsteen's inner circle to serve as his producer since the early '70s.
Fans can now purchase and download The Big Payback, a song on the bonus third disc on The Essential Bruce Springsteen, through Apple's I-Tunes store. The Essential Bruce Springsteen is due out November 11th.
Hope these rumors are true, but let’s just wait until it's on Backstreets.com.
