Originally given to the Pointer Sisters, became a Bruce classic in the Darkness On The Edge Of Town and The River tours. Also played (only in USA and Canada) in the Born In The USA tour. Last rendered in its full form (but acoustic) 13 October 1986, Mountain View, CA. Snippets often played in the middle of TENTH AVENUE FREEZE-OUT during the Reunion tour.

Robert Gordon released a 25 tracks album titled Is Red Hot. This album included a live version of FIRE. He also released The Lost Album Plus... in 1999 that included also his cover or FIRE, but with Bruce Springsteen on Piano.
